Reynolds House - Generator Repair Project - Phase 2 load switching 17.3.2017 11:00

Dear all,

The repairs have been completed to generator 1 at Reynolds House and it has been re-added to the group, with generator 2 having now been removed for repairs. There will be a series of 2 switching exercise today to prove the infrastructure in this configuration.

The First exercise will be a manual start and transfer commencing at 11:00 for approximately 20 minutes and then a second mains failure test once UPS systems have recovered.

I will provide further updates on commencement and completion of each phase of switching.


The first phase of todays exercise is about to begin and the site should be considered at risk until further notice


We have stepped back from the tests and have rescheduled phase 1 switching for approximately 11:50 i will provide a further update when we beginning.


We are about to begin the first load transfer again, and the site should be considered as at risk until further notice.


The test has completed successfully and we are now supported by generators until 12:50


We are about to start the process to bring the site back onto mains supported power. I will provide an update on completion.


Phase 1 testing has completed successfully and the site is again supported by mains. Phase 2 testing will commence from approx 14:00.


Update 13:55

We are scheduled to begin phase 2 testing of the generators at Reynolds house from 14:00. The site should be considered at risk until further notice.

The site has successfully transferred to generators and will be running till approximately 14:30. I will provide a further update before the transfer back to mains.


Update 14:35

We are beginning the process to switch back to mains. i will provide an update on completion.


The site is again supported by mains, all tests have passed successfully and the site should no longer be considered at risk.
